Requests for consultation for works of fiction can be submitted to jordyn@jordynredwood.com. At this time, I’m providing a 30-minute based video consultation for $25.00. These will be scheduled in the evenings and weekends MST time. Why this change? In the past, yes, I did post questions to my medical blog for free research but, as with anything, the time I dedicated to answering these question and the back and forth with the author to ensure they had the answers they needed would take anywhere from 2-5 hours. The back and forth via email is partly why I want to provide a video based consultation product because what I feel might be important for the author to know is really not what they are looking for and this can be quickly sorted out in a conversation.

If you don’t want to connect via video– I will answer/research specific medical questions on a pay structure for $25.00/30 minutues. I can do most research for a medical question in one hour. You would pay up front $25.00 and I’ll send you what I have at 30 minutes and you can decide if you would like me to continue.

Pay structure for analyzing a written medical scene is the same.

I know in this current economy, this can seem daunting but this blog is a GREAT resource. Likely, your question is very similar to one I’ve already answered. My hope is to eventually published topic based medical products specifically for writers for a nominal fee– that is in the works.

Contemporary medical issues generally have a more rapid turnaround time than historical ones. I usually respond to inquiries within fourteen days (hopefully sooner.) If you have an urgent medical question and are under deadline please let me know in the first few sentences of your email and I’ll see about accommodating you more quickly, but I don’t make any promises.
